Queens County tops final 2022 NYRA card
By NY Hot List Staff | December 30, 2022
About eight hours before the Big Apple falls in Times Square to usher in 2023, the curtain will come down on the 2022 racing season at New York racetracks. Saturday’s final card of the year at Aqueduct Racetrack will feature nine races – or nine last-chance opportunities to bail out in 2022 – topped by the Queens County Stakes. The 1 1/8-mile test for 3-year-olds and up figures to be an interesting betting affair with a wide-open field of 11 that offers a nice mix of both speedsters and closers. Have a happy New Year’s and best wishes for closing out 2022 on a winning note.
Here’s the Hot List picks for the Queens County:
Aqueduct, Saturday, Race 8:
(4) Bourbonic (B) needed a race after a year away from competition, got off to a slow start, and still ran well in a sprint. He is back at a preferred distance with a past graded stakes victory. (5) Law Professor was fifth in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) and second in the Woodward (G1) behind Life Is Good. He has a Grade 2 victory in his past performances. (10) Unbridled Bomber moved through his allowance conditions with a pair of wins at Aqueduct in his last two starts. (2) Ridin With Biden has two stakes victories at Parx in his last three starts.
