By NY Hot List Staff | November 16, 2023
What started back in the spring comes to an end this weekend with the final turf stakes of the year at Aqueduct. The curtain comes down on Sunday with the final two turf stakes in 2023 and Saturday’s card also features two, topped by the $250,000 Hill Prince Stakes. The mile and an eighth test for 3-year-olds could showcase a new face for next year when those horses begin to tackle their elders in major races.
The $250,000 Hill Prince (G2) at Aqueduct, Saturday, Race 5, 1:48 pm EST.
(2) Laurel Valley (C) ran third after getting bet down from 14-1 to 10-1 and now tries a graded stakes race for the first time. (3) Integration is unbeaten in two starts for Shug McGaughey including the Virginia Derby (G3) at Colonial Downs in September. (5) Faraday won both of his starts this year for Chad Brown and is a half-brother of $2.6 million winner Sadler’s Joy and a full brother to Wolfie’s Dynaghost who earned $815,000. (9) Classic Catch was entered for turf in his last two starts where he won an allowance at Saratoga and then was second in the Jockey Club Derby Invitational.
