Kept Waiting looks to win again in the Correction at Aqueduct on Saturday

By NY Hot List staff | Friday, March 11, 2022

Kept Waiting will try and win her fourth race in a row as she faces a field of six in the $100,000 Correction at Aqueduct on Saturday.

Trainer Rob Falcone, Jr. claimed Kept Waiting for $40,000 in 2020 after she ran second in a maiden race on the turf. She got seven months off last year and has won 3 out of 4 races since then. Overall, Kept Waiting found the winner’s circle five times for Falcone, Jr. at different tracks and on a variety of racing surfaces.

“It’s good that she doesn’t mind the slop,” Falcone, Jr. said. “Any horse that can win on the grass, fast track and the slop, makes for a pretty unique situation. She’s done it at good levels as well, 1x and 2x on the grass. She has wins on the dirt, turf and, a stakes win on the slop, so she’s going up in class and her form is getting better.”

(6) Kept Waiting has the home track advantage in this small field which includes three horses shipping to New York to make the first start of their careers at Aqueduct. Kept Waiting is the winner of her last three races which includes a turf allowance against NY-breds, an open company allowance, and most recently a NY-bred stake. She won those races by a combined 18 lengths. She his 2 for 2 at the Big A and 2 for 2 on wet tracks. (3) Club Car is the horse to beat on her best effort, but she has not run since November and is one of those horses that has never run at Aqueduct. She ships up from Keeneland. Her recent record is 8: 2-4-2 which includes a trio of graded stakes. (1) Easy to Bless won an allowance by eight lengths on a sloppy Aqueduct track and with chance of rain this weekend. (4) Prodigy Doll has back class as she ships up to Aqueduct after racing mostly in stakes. This will be her third start following a layoff.
