Each card also carries three added wagers built for grinding through the sequence: the $3 Players Late Pick 3, the $5 Players Late Double, and the $1 Place Pick 8, a 15 percent takeout wager that pays on the winner or runner up across the final eight races and carries its own 100 percent carryover when nobody sweeps it.

Assiniboia Downs Is Dark on Monday, Back Tuesday
There will be no live racing at Assiniboia Downs on Monday, August 10. The meet's base schedule only races Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a short list of select Mondays added for the season, June 1, June 22, July 13, August 3 for Manitoba Derby Night, August 24, and September 14. August 10 is not one of them, so the track's own live racing notice lists the next cards as Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12, and bettors chasing the next Jackpot Pick 5 carryover will have to wait a couple of extra days.
Assiniboia Downs Toasts a Record Manitoba Derby Week
There will be no live racing at Assiniboia Downs on Monday, August 10. The Winnipeg track's regular Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday schedule is on a short break following last week's Manitoba Derby program, and live racing resumes Tuesday, August 11 with Wednesday, August 12 to follow, so bettors chasing the next Jackpot Pick 5 carryover will have to wait a couple of extra days.
