Play Powerball in Connecticut
There’s a reason Powerball gets people who never bet on anything else to stand in line. Two dollars, six numbers, and a jackpot that starts at $20 million and keeps climbing until somebody gets lucky. Three nights a week, Connecticut gets a shot at it, and you don’t need to be a regular at the track to play.

Powerball IN CONNECTICUT
How to Play Powerball
Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 69 for your white balls, then 1 more from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. That last number is the whole game. Match your five and miss the red ball, you’re still walking away with something. Match all six, and you’re the story on the news that night.
If you want more than the base game, add Power Play for an extra dollar. It multiplies every prize below the jackpot by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X, and a Match 5 plus Power Play always pays out $2 million flat no matter which multiplier lands. The 10X is only in the mix when the advertised jackpot sits at $150 million or less, so it shows up more often than you’d think. There’s also Double Play for another dollar, which enters your same numbers into a separate drawing with a top prize of $10 million.
Nine prize tiers pay out on every Powerball ticket, and the overall odds of winning something are 1 in 24.9. The jackpot itself is a longer road, 1 in 292,201,338, but somebody wins it eventually. That’s the whole appeal.
When Powerball Draws
Drawings happen three nights a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59pm ET. Sales cut off at 10pm ET on drawing nights, so don’t wait until the last minute if you’re picking numbers on the way home.
Where to Buy Powerball Tickets in Connecticut
Powerball is available at all nine of our Winners and MyWinners venues across the state, Bobby V’s Restaurant and Sports Bar in Stamford and Windsor Locks included. Pick up a ticket before you settle in for the races or the game, or make it its own stop.
Powerball Jackpot Payout Options
Hit the jackpot and you’ll be handed a real choice, annuity or cash. The annuity pays out over time in installments tied to the advertised jackpot number, while the cash option gets you a lump sum up front. Neither one is automatically the right call. It depends on what you’re planning to do with it.
Play at a Winners Venue Near You
A Powerball ticket costs less than a beer and buys you three nights a week of wondering what you’d do with $20 million or more. Stop into any Winners or MyWinners venue in Connecticut, grab your numbers, and stick around for the live racing or a seat at Bobby V’s while you wait for Saturday night.
