Sports Haven closed on November 30, 2025, after 46 years on Long Wharf. Sports betting near New Haven didn’t go anywhere, though. It moved a short drive up Interstate 95 to MyWinners East Haven, 37 Frontage Rd, in the Home Depot Plaza. Fanatics Sportsbook runs the sports side on 12 self service kiosks, and you must be 21 or older to place a sports bet.

From Sports Haven to MyWinners East Haven
Sports Haven opened in 1979 as Teletrack, the first off track betting theatre in the world. Our farewell to Sports Haven tells the full story, shark tank included. MyWinners moved to East Haven in November 2025, and the old Long Wharf building is now coming down.
The new venue is smaller, and that’s deliberate. MyWinners East Haven is the flagship of the network and the first venue built around the full MyWinners experience, with 57 HD screens, modern kiosks and free parking right outside.

Fanatics Sportsbook at MyWinners East Haven
Fanatics Sportsbook is the Connecticut Lottery Corporation’s sports betting partner, and the MyWinners Help Center confirms Fanatics runs sports betting at every MyWinners retail venue in Connecticut. Fanatics took over in December 2023, and Sports Haven was one of the original retail sites. East Haven carries that on.
The Fanatics board covers the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer, golf and MMA, with college sports where Connecticut law allows. That law keeps games involving the state’s own college teams off the board, so you won’t find UConn or Yale games on the kiosks. WTNH reported that the only exception is a bet on UConn to win the NCAA tournament, placed before the tournament starts.
Every Fanatics bet uses fixed odds. The price on your ticket is the price you get paid, even if the line moves after you bet.
Your Fanatics and MyWinners Accounts Are Separate
This one catches people out. Fanatics and MyWinners run separate accounts, so your MyWinners balance can’t fund a Fanatics bet, and rewards and betting history don’t move between the two. You don’t need the Fanatics app to use the kiosks. Questions about a sports bet go to Fanatics customer support, and questions about racing go to MyWinners.
Earn FanCash on Retail Bets
Fanatics rewards retail bettors with FanCash. Set up a Fanatics Sportsbook mobile account, pick up a free Fanatics Player Card at the counter and use it every time you bet in person. FanCash goes toward bonus bets or Fanatics team gear. Ask the team for the current terms.
Placing a Fanatics Bet at East Haven
Twelve self service kiosks take Fanatics bets, which gives you plenty of terminals before the 1 PM NFL kickoffs. Pick your sport and event, choose the bet type, set your stake and follow the instructions on screen. Two manual tellers and the floor staff can help if you get stuck.
Your printed ticket is your bet. Check the selection, the odds and the stake before you walk away, and keep the ticket until the game ends so you can collect.
Open Late for Prime Time
MyWinners East Haven stays open until 11 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sunday Night Football kicks off at 8:20 PM ET, so you can watch the whole game from your seat. Monday runs until 8 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday until 7 PM, and Thursday until 9 PM. Hours may differ on public holidays, so check the venue page before a midweek visit.
Racing, Jai Alai and Greyhounds
The same room takes pari mutuel bets on live horse racing, jai alai and greyhound racing from tracks across the country, with racing bets open from age 18. Staff can also handle deposits and withdrawals for your MyWinners online account, and the counter sells Connecticut Lottery, Mega Millions and Powerball tickets.
