The Morning Line: Vic’s Picks, 6 November 2026

Vic went 3-0 in Week 8 even though he never stepped in front of a camera. Now he reckons he should stay off video for the rest of the season. We doubt his makeup artist agrees, but the results don’t lie.

So here come his NFL Week 9 picks. Road teams, all of them. He likes Buffalo on the road, Arizona with a big number in Seattle and the Giants in Philadelphia. After all, one more sweep would push the season firmly toward profit.

How Vic Swept Week 8

First up, Buffalo laid 3.5 at home and beat Baltimore 36-10. Easy. Denver then took +1.5 against Kansas City and won 28-24 outright, so the moneyline cashed as well.

Chicago finished the job on Monday night, and it did so in style, because the Bears never needed the hook Vic was so happy to take on the road. They won 34-17. Vic expected a last-minute finish, but Chicago never let it get close. In short, he picked three sides, two dogs won outright and every ticket cashed.

Vic’s NFL Week 9 Picks at a Glance

This week, all three picks are road teams. Vic has Buffalo -3 at Minnesota, Arizona +8 at Seattle and the Giants -3 at Philadelphia.

Lines have moved since he locked them in, though. Some books now hang Arizona at +8.5 and the Giants at -3.5, so shop around before you bet. For that reason, the table below shows Vic’s number next to the current consensus line.

Kickoff (ET) Matchup Vic’s Pick Consensus Line TV
Sun, Nov 8, 1pm Giants at Eagles NYG -3 Giants -3.5 FOX
Sun, Nov 8, 4:25pm Cardinals at Seahawks ARI +8 Cardinals +8.5 FOX
Mon, Nov 9, 8:15pm Bills at Vikings BUF -3 Bills -3 ABC

Consensus lines come from VegasInsider as of November 6, 2026, so treat them as a guide. Since lines move all week, check the latest price before you bet.

Bills -3 at Vikings on Monday Night Football

Buffalo and Minnesota close out the week on Monday, November 9, at 8:15pm ET on ABC. Both teams sit at 6-1. Form tells a different story.

The Bills now top ESPN’s power rankings after that rout of the Ravens. Meanwhile, the Vikings lost their unbeaten record in Week 8 when Detroit edged them 19-15. As a result, Minnesota scored just 15 points in its biggest test so far.

Vic’s view is simple. This Minnesota offense can’t keep pace with Josh Allen. Right now, the consensus line sits at Bills -3 with a total of 44.5. On the moneyline, Buffalo trades around -175 while Minnesota sits around +145.

Cardinals +8 at Seahawks: Minshew Takes Over

Arizona visits Seattle on Sunday, November 8, at 4:25pm ET on FOX. Gardner Minshew makes his first start for the Cardinals after a wild finish against Dallas in Week 8.

Minshew came off the bench with Arizona down 17-3 in the third quarter. Then he caught fire. He went 17 of 23 for 188 yards and three touchdowns. Arizona won 33-30 in overtime, so head coach Mike LaFleur named Minshew the starter the next day.

Seattle comes in at 4-4 after Chicago beat them 34-17. Even so, Vic still expects the Seahawks to win at home. However, he thinks Minshew does enough late to sneak in a backdoor cover. On top of that, the total sits at just 39.5, and a low total makes a big spread harder to clear.

Giants -3 at Eagles in the NFC East

The Giants head to Philadelphia on Sunday, November 8, at 1pm ET on FOX. New York sits at 4-2-1 and comes off a Week 8 bye. They also own a 5-2 record against the spread, which tells you this team has been covering numbers all season while most of the league still treats the Giants as an afterthought.

By contrast, Philadelphia is in freefall. The Eagles are 2-6 after six straight losses, and Washington beat them 27-10 last week. Philly looked solid for about ten minutes in that game before it fell apart.

The trade deadline also lands on Tuesday, November 10, at 4pm ET. For this reason, Vic thinks the Eagles could rest a couple of players ahead of possible deals. Meanwhile, the Giants have a real shot to make a run at this division.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Vic’s NFL Week 9 picks?

Vic likes the Bills to cover at Minnesota and the Cardinals to cover the points in Seattle. He also backs the Giants to beat the spread in Philadelphia, so all three picks are road teams.

How did Vic’s Picks do in Week 8?

Perfectly, since he went 3-0 with Buffalo, Denver and Chicago. On top of that, Denver and Chicago both won outright as underdogs.

What is a backdoor cover in NFL betting?

A backdoor cover happens when the underdog scores late and covers the spread without threatening to win. The winner rarely changes, but the spread result does. That’s why bettors holding a big underdog keep watching long after the game itself looks settled, because one late touchdown can turn a losing ticket into a winner.

When is the 2026 NFL trade deadline?

The deadline falls on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 4pm ET. That comes the day after the Bills and Vikings meet on Monday Night Football.
